Biography:

Professor Kuan-Pin Su is the Vice Dean of College of Medicine, Professor of Psychiatry and Neurosciences, and the Director of Mind-Body Interface Laboratory (MBI-Lab) at the China Medical University, Taichung, Taiwan. Prof Kuan-Pin Su's significant contribution on the role of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) in depression provides novel therapeutic strategies, including the first clinical trial in perinatal women with depression. Prof Su has received prestigious awards from professional societies, including Robert Kerwin International Award (British Association for Psychopharmacology BAP 2008), NARSAD Young Investigator Award (2010), Psychopharmacology Award from BAP (2013), International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids and Lipids Early Career Award (2016), and China Medical University Distinguishing Professor of the Year (2019). According the h-index (ELSVIER 2018), Prof Su is the 1st-ranked investigator in the world in the research field of omega-3 PUFAs in depression.
